Conditioning and bounded inheritance
Move an earned aptitude point and test a supplied breeding cycle.
Prerequisites: owned ready level-three animals, with two of the same species for breeding. Conditioning additionally requires Beastkeeping level 8 and four feed. Breeding requires eight feed, a harness, spare care capacity and both parents’ rest cooldowns complete. Earn these gates through real care and production.
Step by step
Tick a step after observing the expected result. Saved on this device only.
01Earn the care levels
Continue supplied training until an animal is actually level three. Develop Beastkeeping to level eight for conditioning. Inspect Aptitude record and record its four values.
The record reflects completed training, not a test-only grant.
02Move one point
Choose Condition an aptitude, select that owned animal, a nonzero source trait and a different destination trait below five. Review and commit.
Four feed are consumed and one thirty-minute job starts. Before settlement the trait distribution is unchanged and the animal is in care.
03Inspect conditioning settlement
After completion, open the aptitude record and compare values.
Exactly one point moves from the chosen source to destination. The total remains eight; the change is retained in training history.
04Prepare compatible parents
Raise and rest a second owned animal of the same species to level three. Carry eight feed and one harness; confirm fewer than twelve animals are already in care.
Both actual parent IDs qualify. Using the same animal twice, another owner’s animal or an unready parent is rejected.
05Commit breeding and wait
Choose Breed pet with the two parent IDs, review, commit and allow the four-hour care job to complete.
The nursery inputs are consumed; parents are in care during the job and acquire a one-day breeding rest interval.
06Inspect the offspring record
Compare the new animal’s ancestry and trait values with the parents’ records.
The offspring identifies both actual parents and has exactly eight points with no value above five. Inheritance redistributes traits; it does not add an extra total power budget.
07Check repeated requests
Try an immediate second breeding cycle with the same parents before their rest interval ends.
The cooldown is enforced without consuming another harness or feed. Reopening the first result does not create a second offspring.
