NPC context, journal outcomes and returning memory
Check stable authored dialogue without farming conversation rewards.
Prerequisites: an idle character who can visit Ilya Reed at Record House, plus one ordinary work or quest milestone to complete. Later conversations should follow the journal’s own discovered topics; this guide does not reveal private branch answers.

Tick a step after observing the expected result. Saved on this device only.
01Speak at the actual place
Visit Record House and choose Speak / Talk to Ilya Reed with Greeting. Save the player-visible line in private test notes.
The character receives an authored greeting appropriate to currently recorded context.
02Repeat without progress
Speak again several times without completing work, changing a quest outcome or altering shared history.
The greeting remains stable for the same meaningful context. Repetition does not farm XP, relationship progress or new facts.
03Complete meaningful work
Travel to a valid working region and complete a real batch, or complete a currently ready quest using an offered choice. Return to the same contact.
Progress comes from the real completed activity or selected outcome.
04Check the next greeting
Speak to the same NPC again and inspect any earned recent-work topic now offered.
The dialogue may update when its supported context milestone changes. It must not claim work you did not complete or contradict your recorded outcome.
05Read a completed memory
Use Journal → Read memory and select an account you actually completed. Reopen it after refresh.
The stored choice, completion history and outcome persist. An uncompleted account cannot be read as if it were your memory.
06Compare two consenting characters
Have another tester with different earned progress visit the same public contact and describe only their own visible result.
Personal context can differ without rewriting the NPC or shared history for everyone. Never publish another player’s private memory as a test artifact.
