Earn, follow and finish a professional lead
Test the Patch03 opportunity flow using normal completed work.
Prerequisites: an idle player in Southfields or another valid working region. Use completed work you intended to do. Some completions deliberately offer no lead, and a character with existing leads may not receive another; absence on a particular attempt is not a failure.
Step by step
Tick a step after observing the expected result. Saved on this device only.
01Inspect the initial lead list
Open Leads & approaches in the browser or /play → Opportunities. Record which leads, if any, are already offered.
A new character has no fabricated completed-work lead.
02Complete ordinary production
Finish a normal Survival, Foraging or other supported work batch. Refresh the lead list afterward. Repeat only within a pre-agreed production test budget.
An offered lead, when one appears, refers to actual completed work. If none appears, record this branch as not observed or blocked, not a false failure.
03Read and preserve the choice
Record the offer ID privately, available options, required tool/inputs, valid working regions and duration. Refresh twice and reconnect.
The same offer and options persist; refreshing does not reroll them. Costs and the existing reward contract are disclosed.
04Choose an expert option
Select one displayed expert objective and inspect the review. Commit with the offer’s current decision token through the UI.
One real expert job begins in the same transaction as the recorded choice. Its actual inputs are reserved or consumed under normal work rules.
05Finish the underlying work
Open Professions / Work, complete the visible current-turn decisions, and wait for the committed work boundary.
The result comes from that activity’s quality and output. Choosing a lead does not award extra coin or a hidden bonus item.
06Read the actual result
Return to Leads & approaches and expand Actual result, or inspect the opportunity through /play.
The lead links to the completed job and records its real result. Refreshing it does not pay again.
07Decline a different offered lead
If another offer is available, choose Set aside without penalty / Decline opportunity and confirm.
The decline is recorded, does not consume work inputs and does not generate an automatic replacement lead. Ordinary work remains available.
