Build, maintain and control a facility

Check a real construction job, local benefit and display custody.

Prerequisites: an idle character with Construction level 5, twelve planks, twelve stones and three iron bars for a Shared workbench. These inputs and the level must be earned or traded. A maintenance check additionally needs one repair kit. Two consenting testers make access comparisons easier.

01Commit the construction

In Guild & facilities choose Build facility, kind workshop / Shared workbench, access Private. Review and commit in the region where the facility should remain.

EXPECTED RESULT

The real construction inputs are reserved in one one-hour baseline job. The facility does not appear completed immediately.

02Inspect completion

After the boundary, refresh Accessible facilities. Record its ID, owner, fixed region, access policy and maintenance validity.

EXPECTED RESULT

A completed local facility starts with seven days of maintenance and its recorded production benefit.

03Compare access deliberately

B inspects the region’s available facilities and a relevant recipe quote. A changes Access policy to Public, then B refreshes the same quote with unchanged stock/skill.

EXPECTED RESULT

Only the owner changes the policy. Eligible maintained local access can affect the quoted quality/time; the change must follow actual facility rules.

04Maintain with real stock

At the facility region, use Maintain while carrying one repair kit.

EXPECTED RESULT

The kit is consumed and maintenance extends seven days from the later of now or its existing expiry. Remote maintenance is refused.

05Display an owned spare

A chooses Display an item using a spare carried object, then inspects custody and tries to equip that old bag ID.

EXPECTED RESULT

The object occupies a display position and leaves the bag/equipment slot; it cannot be used simultaneously as carried gear.

06Remove the display

A uses Display with the same item and Remove checked.

EXPECTED RESULT

The identical object returns to A’s bag. Another character cannot remove the owner’s display through an ownership mismatch.

07Rehearse expiry in isolation

Operators may use a fresh manual-clock test installation to cross maintenance expiry, then compare the same recipe before and after valid maintenance.

EXPECTED RESULT

An expired facility does not silently retain its maintained production benefit. This fixture check must be labeled separately from a seven-day human session.
